The Search Request module of the Handson system is designed to fulfill several main functions:
- H&S departments can submit annual requests for new faculty searches (or request adjustments to carry-forward searches).
- H&S Dean's Office can track requested searches, approvals/rejections, and process approved requests to generate new Search Authorization records.
- Improved reporting and transparency, with the availability of year-over-year data.
Requesting a faculty search consists of three parts:
Creating a Search Packet
Adding one or more search requests to the packet
Adding a Cover Memo to the Packet
Once these components have been created, your Search Packet is ready to be submitted to the H&S Dean's Office.
Please see the pages below for specific instructions on how to create a packet and search requests, and how to submit your packet when ready.
This user guide provides step-by-step instructions on navigating the system and accessing key features. It specifically focuses on locating and using processes within the Search Request module.
The target audience is for:
- Search Request Creators: Department chairs and DFOs.
- Search Request Admins: HSDO leadership
