Section 1: Enter Line Item Data
6. Click the "Category Type" field and select "Program / Admin Support"

8. Click the "Department/Program" field and select the unit receiving funds. You may type in the field to search.

10. Click the "Transfer Status" field and click "Ready" to schedule a fund transfer.Select "Hold" if the line is not yet ready for transfer. The default value is "Hold"

Tip: Hold Reasons
If you are creating a commitment for the current year
Pending Review indicates that further unit input is needed before fulfilling the commitment
Year End Close is used when a commitment will be reviewed at year end often based on actuals.
Contingency means there is a specific contingency that must be met before the commitment will be fulfilled.
If you creating a commitment for a future year, use Next Year
11. Click the "Source PTA" field and select the funding source PTA. It will only show PTAs in your Org authority. You may type the PTA number or name to search.

12. Click the "Destination PTA" field and select the destination PTA. You may type the PTA number or name to search

13. Click the "Expense Area" field and select "Non-Salary" so no fringe benefits calculations are added.

14. Click the "Amount" field and enter the amount

Tip: After you enter the amount, the total line amount is displayed on the right
If non-salary is chosen as the Expense Area, numbers are the same
If any of the salary types are chosen as the Expense Area, then fringe benefits are added to the total.

15. Click the "Line Item Note" field and add a brief description of the event

16. Click "Add Line Item" to lock in your entries.

17. A notification pops up confirming the line has been added. Click "OK"

18. The line now appears in the "Transfer Line Items" section.
Click "Save Progress" to save your work and establish the draft commitment.

Tip: You can now add more lines, either from scratch or by copying the existing line (check box on left to select line then click “copy” from buttons on top right).

19. Click "Continue" when you are finished adding your line items.

Section 2: Attachments & Notes
20. An attachment / backup documentation is required to be attached as a data source. Click "Add Attachment or Data Source" to open the attachment window.
