Handson is the Humanities and Sciences faculty information system, used extensively across the H&S Dean's Office and to a lesser degree H&S departments and programs. The system is used to support important faculty-related financial operations and strategic planning for many of the major lines of business for the School of H&S.
The Search Authorization module of the Handson system was designed to fulfill several main functions:
- Track approved faculty searches, including renewable searches created as part of the annual faculty search request process, and non-renewable off-cycle searches for target of opportunity recruitment.
- Create Recruitment records once we attempt to recruit a faculty candidate
This user guide provides step-by-step instructions on navigating the system and accessing key features. It specifically focuses on locating and using processes within the Search Authorization module.
