As part of the new Handson system, our annual faculty search authorizations process is now moving directly into Handson! We are offering training for users who will need to use this new process.
The primary audience for these trainings includes DFOs who will be submitting faculty search requests for each department.
Scheduled sessions:
Register for Wednesday, March 4 at 1:00pm–2:00pm
Register for Friday, March 6 at 10:00am–11:00am
These sessions have the same content. You can register for either one.
After you complete the registration form, you will receive an email from Zoom that includes a meeting link and an "Add to Calendar" link.
At the time of our initial launch in January 2026, we presented two training courses for Handson users.
The primary audience for these trainings included DFOs and ADs, or other H&S staff who handle funding commitments or faculty data.
Training 1: Funding Commitments
This training will cover the features of the new and improved Funding Commitment module, including browsing and searching commitment records, creating commitments, commitment approval workflows, and collaboration features.
These two sessions have the same content. You may attend either one.
Training 2: Faculty and A&P
This training will cover the features of the new and improved Faculty module, plus the completely new Appointments and Promotions module, including navigating faculty records, various appointment types (academic, administrative, and courtesy), tracking leave credits (sabbaticals, paid leave, and professional development), and preparation of appointment and promotion forms within Handson.
