The H&S Drupal platform has two distinct design themes that provide the basis of your new website: Traditional and Colorful. The guides below offer more information about both themes and the color palettes you can select from within each theme.
Although web editors aren't able to change a site's theme or color palette, we encourage you to check out the options on our Reference Websites (linked below) prior to engaging with us on a website refresh.
Traditional Theme
This theme continues to build on the classic Stanford look and creates an editorial feel for your site. The elements allow you to highlight your unit through straightforward design, your content is the focus.
Some key design features include: utilizing sans serif and/or serif fonts, stacked vertical cards, square buttons, and less white space throughout.
We currently have five color palette options, each with unique combinations while keeping within the Stanford branding guidelines.
Blue Jay: teal with red accents
Cardinal: black with red and light gray accents
Fire Finch: red with gray and red-orange accents
Vireo:dark gray and beige with olive green accents
Warbler: dark gray with teal and light blue accents
With a focus on modern, refreshing colors, the Colorful Theme efficiently highlights your key information. Each theme offers an array of color palettes to choose from. Clean styling empowers visitors to effortlessly navigate throughout the site.
Some key design features include: layered hero and linked vertical cards, accent pipes within the menu, bold color choices, rounded buttons, and sans-serif font.
