Research Areas

A research area is a special kind of content that acts as a collection of people who study a particular research field. For instance, the Stanford Economics website has research areas such as Game Theory or Macroeconomics.
Everyone who is tagged with a particular research area will be displayed on that research area page.

Creating a new research area

To create a new research area, hover over "Add Content" in the Shortcuts menu and then click "Add Research Area."

Adding People to Research Areas

To add a person to a Research Area, open their profile. This is done in the shortcuts menu under Manage Content ⟶ Manage People.
Find the person profile you wish to add to a research area and select the "edit" button on the line with their name.
It may be helpful to use the filter and search function at the top of the page.
Once inside the person profile, click on the Bio Information tab. Scroll to the area labeled "Research Area(s)." Click on the area(s) to include.
Select multiple research areas by holding Control while clicking.
Save your work. The person you edited/created will now appear on the research area page(s).
