Although logging out of your site is not required, it can sometimes be helpful. For instance, logging out allows you to check that private pages or unpublished content are set up correctly.
Using the Logout Button
When logged in, the logout button is in the bottom right corner of the footer. If you are already logged out, the button will render as a login button.

From the Main Menu
If you'd prefer not to scroll to the bottom of the page, you can log out from the main navigation bar. Click your name, then "logout."
