When creating a flexible page, you have the option to provide a menu link. Doing so will ensure users can find your page via the main menu on your site, which is highly recommended.

Please note: Specific page types (e.g. People, News, Events, etc.) are automatically placed in the menu. This guide applies to Flexible Pages and Private Pages.
Once you've created a page, you can place it in the menu. Start in the Menu Settings section of the sidebar on the right side of the editing interface.

Toggle "Provide a menu link"
Ensure that the slider for "Provide a menu link" is selected. This will open a set of fields where your menu link will be named and organized.

Menu Link Title
Once you toggle "Provide a menu link," additional fields will appear. The menu link title field will be pre-filled with the title of your page.
We highly recommend giving your new flexible page a title before selecting "provide a menu link" to ensure that the two match.

We encourage you to leave this as-is in order to maintain consistency and cohesion on your site. If your page title is long, you might consider shortening it so the text in the menu doesn't wrap onto multiple lines. For example, if the title of your page is, "Undergraduate requirements for the BA Degree in Website Studies," you might shorten your menu link title to "Undergrad requirements for the BA," "Undergrad Requirements," or even "BA Requirements."
Parent Menu and Additional Level Menus
The Menu Settings section starts with a dropdown in the “Parent menu” section that reads “<main>” and will not be changed. The next section is called "First level menu item" and reads, “- Please select -.”

Click "- Please select -" to pull up a list of choices that will match the main “sections” or dropdown menus on your site, such as “Academics,” “News,” or “People.”

Select the appropriate section where this new page should be housed. Once you’ve selected a first level menu topic, another dropdown menu for "Second level menu item" will appear.

This will have a list of all of the choices that appear within the selected menu. For example, if you chose Academics, the second list might include options to nest this page under the How to Declare or Graduate Program section of your website.

If your page belongs at this level of the menu structure, you can stop here and leave "- Please select -" as the second level selection. If your page belongs under another level of menu structure, continue selecting sub-pages until you reach the appropriate menu level. Continue this process until your page is listed under the appropriate menu and submenu(s).
Organizing your link within the appropriate section
Once you've housed your page under the appropriate menu section, you'll need to select the order in which it should appear. For instance, if you created a page under Academics, do you want it to be the first choice that users see in the dropdown menu, or should it be listed second, third, etc.?
To organize your link, first navigate to the Menu link weight section. This can be found underneath the last menu link item you selected.

Next, locate your page within the menu section. It will generally be the first link shown and will be followed with text that reads "(provided menu link)."

Once located, select the placement of your page within that menu. Use the four-pointed arrow to drag your pages into the desired order. You can also reorder the other pages in this group at the same time if you wish.

In this example, the page will appear in the main menu navigation under Academics → and will be the second to last option in the menu, above between How to Declare and Graduate Program.
Check everything over and save when you’re done and save your work.
